MUSR 7 will be earlier this year…Sept 1-4, 2005. This is the Labor Day weekend. Labor Day will be observed on Monday, Sept 5, which gives most people an extra day to drive home.

The venue will be Granbury, TX, the county seat of Hood County. The Hood County courthouse is the center of the square in Granbury, surrounded by antique shops and small restaurants. The city of Granbury is situated on Granbury Lake. We are staying at The Lodge of Granbury which overlooks the lake.

We’ve scheduled the normal MUSR events: Car Show, Swap Meet, Rally, Tech Quiz, Seminars, Autocross, and Tours. This is a very scenic part of the state and we’ll include several drives in and around Hood and Somervell Counties.

We’ve included two "special" events this year. Granbury has one of the last drive-in movie theaters in the country. We’ll end Friday’s busy schedule by going there for dinner and movies. Somervell County is the location of Fossil Rim Wild Animal Park. It’s a short and scenic 30-minute drive S of Granbury. We’ll include it inside the Rally on Saturday morning. We’ll take the "Behind-the-scenes Tour" at Fossil Rim. If you have kids and can get them there, they’ll love it. Heck, you will too…guaranteed.

You need to contact The Lodge of Granbury at 817.573.2606 to secure room reservations.

The deadline is July 1st!

After that, we lose the room block. There are a variety of different room packages available. The best deal is what they call the VIP Suites. There are only 8. They have 2 bedrooms so you can share it with another couple. Just a hint…

You also need to print out a Registration Form and mail it in, with a check to cover the event costs ($50/person). That $50 will include:

Speaking of Autocross, we situated the event near Mineral Wells because we have access to a H U G E (35 acre) autocross site there, the MineralRing. We’ll include an "AX 101" Seminar on Saturday and on Sunday morning, we will have an AX School at the MineralRing. Then Sunday afternoon, we will have an Autocross. You’ll love the MineralRing…
